About The Community Centre

Outside Entrance

A Brief History

The community centre is located just behind Sennen Junior School, was built in 1977 as a Manpower Services Jubilee project which was funded by the Charity Commission, the former Penwith District Council, Sennen Parish Council and with fundraising from the association.
Today it plays an important role within the village of Sennen and wider communities by providing a large facility for the residents of Sennen and its visitors to meet up and socialise, whether that be at our weekly farmers market, during a social event, or whilst participating in a wide range of activities that can be held at the hall.
The community centre is run by a group of volunteers who work hard to keep the venue updated and available for hire all year round. Our goal is to make the venue as accessible and easy to use for as many people as possible, young and old. We are a registered charity (charity number 277628)

The walks around the coast are stunning and offer fantastic views of the rugged coastline. Sennen Beach is just a short distance form the community centre and Lands End is Just a mile down the road. We have 2 pubs, The First and Last Inn and The Old Success Inn as well as The Surf Beach Bar who all offer food and drinks.
