Sennen Karate Club has been running weekly classes at the community centre since 1992. The club was started by Clive Double who is now a 7th Dan Black Belt. Clive moved away to spend time with his family and handed the reigns over to Luke Jackson, a 5th dan black belt, who continues to run weekly classes to this day. Clive still visits several times a year, sharing his knowledge and offering support to the instructors and students.
The type of karate practised at Sennen Karate club is MayoShinDo, a style probably not herd of by many. MayoShinDo is based on traditional styles such as Tai Chi and Shotokan amongst others. We are not a rough or hard style of karate. Classes are also taught in English.
We offer all potential new students a FREE taster lesson without any commitment to join the club. To register your interest in a taster lesson please click the button below to register your interest.
